How to Avoid Dry Mouth, Using Cannabis As A Mid-Day Pick Me Up, and What’s New in Canadian Cannabis 🌿

Good Morning Canna Fam! 😁

It’s my last few days in Thailand and I can’t wait to share all my tips and tricks for cannabis in this beautiful legalized country! Be sure to keep up with my travels on my IG stories, and I’ll also be posting a Thailand vlog to my YouTubechannel soon with information about all the dispensaries/lounges I visited, prices, and some dope food spots to hit up after the munchies.

This week’s newsletter features my favourite tips on how to avoid having dry mouth after consuming cannabis - a question that I frequently get asked - and the answer might be simpler than you think! I also talk about using cannabis as an afternoon pick-me-up instead of caffeine, and share some interesting recent news about Canadian cannabis!

Would you substitute your mid-afternoon coffee for a weed infused drink?

Does anyone here use cannabis as their afternoon pick-me-up? I’ve been trying infused drinks that are lightly dosed and strain-specific (like this one from Drink Teapot which is made from pedros sweet sativa which is a lovely uplifting strain for productivity) and it’s been a game changer! The key is the dose and format. Starting low and going slow always gives me more control over my experience! Ask your local flower shop for Teapot (🇨🇦 only)

Cannabis In The News

  • BC allows smoking, vaping cannabis on public patios, and cannabis stores can now promote places to consume: The article discusses how British Columbia now allows smoking and vaping cannabis on public patios and permits cannabis stores to promote places for consumption. This change reflects a shift in regulations, providing more options for cannabis consumption in public spaces.
    • When I visited BC in early Feb, I visited Cannabis Culture, a cannabis lounge in downtown Vancouver. These type of lounges are technically not legal in Vancouver yet, but still frequented by many cannabis enthusiasts. I think this new announcement from BC is super exciting and is a step in the right direction in furthering the cannabis industry in Canada, creating a more even playing field with the alcohol industry, and can provide opportunities for educational cannabis experiences while reducing stigmas towards consumption. I’ll keep an eye on this topic very closely and share more as we learn more about which retail stores plan to open consumption spaces!
  • Over $200 million owed in cannabis excise duty: The article discusses how Canadian cannabis producers owe over $200 million in excise duty due to complex tax regulations and compliance issues. The government is actively pursuing unpaid taxes through audits and penalties, highlighting the challenges for producers in navigating tax requirements. The article emphasizes the importance of compliance to avoid legal consequences and addresses the potential impact on the Canadian cannabis market.
