Can weed help with orgasms?? 👀 🌿

Hey!

Can you believe it’s already the last week of May and we’re heading into the second half of 2024 already?! Time seems to be flying faster and faster as I’m getting older — and realizations like this remind me to remember to pause, and enjoy the current moment. Actually, that’s one of the main reasons why I use cannabis — it’s really helped me slow down and be more present with certain times in my life — a skill that has been hard for me to master due to my overactive brain aka anxiety LOL 😂

This past week in Los Angeles has been fun — from watching a show at The Comedy Store, experiencing Disneyland for the first time, visiting The Woods cannabis lounge in WeHo (I got to see Woody Harrelson IRL too!)and meeting up with Cali-based cannabis creators at OG Cannabis Cafe.

Maddie from 📍 California, USA asks…

Q: Will using CBD on a tolerance break defeat the purpose of the tolerance break for THC? Currently on one right now and I cannot sleep for the life of me, no matter the wind down routine or supplements. Takes about an hour to fall asleep.

A: I think it depends what you consider a “tolerance break” to be. Some people like to take THC-only breaks, and some like to take all-cannabinoid tolerance breaks. I personally like to take breaks from the entire cannabis plant when i’m on my t-breaks.

If your goal is to reset all your cannabinoid receptors, then it may make sense for you to abstain from THC and CBD together, but again, it depends on your own personal needs.

I also used to suffer from insomnia for many years and occasionally still do 😴 That’s why I consume the plant - to help me with falling asleep. So when I went on my tolerance break, I was super worried about not being able to fall asleep.

➡️ What did I do? Exercise vigorously daily to burn off excess mental and physical energy and really locked in my sleep hygiene routine (no blue light, no eating, stop caffeine by early afternoon, meditate, etc.) To my surprise, I was able to break the spell of not being able to sleep without THC.

⚠️ I do want to caveat — I do not have a high THC tolerance — and I believe this is one of the reasons why I’ve been able to have “easy tolerance breaks”. By maintaining a low tolerance with breaks throughout the week, I don’t experience as intense withdrawal symptoms as other people may report.

Unfortunately I’m not a doctor, so I suggest chatting with a sleep professional to get the help you need. As a friend, the tough advice I have to give is that you might just have to tough it out to “break the no-sleep spell”. Eventually your body will get tired from the lack of sleep, and perhaps that might be able to help you reset your sleep patterns 🤷🏻‍♀️

🗞️ This Week in Canna News:
Getting Lifted For Orgasms? 🤭

Sex is already such a “taboo” topic and when you combine cannabis and sex that just makes it one of the most “taboo” topics to discuss at the dinner table… so that’s why we talk about it here instead 😏

Have you ever used cannabis for sex? Whether it was helping with getting relaxed before the activity itself, or helping enhance pleasure with your partner? This study from the Sexual Medicine Journal conducted an experiment on participants who experience challenges in achieving orgasm. They found that cannabis use before partnered sex increased orgasm frequency, with 67% stating that it improved orgasm satisfaction and 71% indicating that the cannabis made orgasm easier too!

This might be TMI but I also use cannabis to help me with relaxing and getting into the mood and from my experience, it also helps me with creating a more enjoyable experience with my partner. The topic of cannabis and sex is so interesting to me — and it’s definitely a topic that I will be diving deeper into on YouTube in the coming weeks! 💦
