We’re less than a week away from 4/20 and I’m beyond excited and truthfully pretty nervous for my event. Whatever you get up to this year, I wish you an amazing 4/20, and remember - start low and go slow!
I’ve asked all my guests to set an intention before stepping into my event. Why? Because I want everyone to be mindful of what they want to experience and to be able to take control of the experience they want to curate. Whenever I’ve set an intention before consuming, 9/10 times I’ll have a way better experience than if I didn’t set an intention!

- Association Between Cannabis Use and Subjective Cognitive Decline: Findings from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS): This study explored cannabis use and subjective cognitive decline (SCD) in adults aged 45 and older in the US. Non-medical cannabis use was linked to lower SCD risk, while medical and dual use showed reduced odds but not significantly. Consumption frequency/method didn't show significant associations with SCD, highlighting the need for more research into how reasons for cannabis use affect cognitive health.
- Light Cannabis Use and the Adolescent Brain: An 8-years Longitudinal Assessment of Mental Health, Cognition, and Reward Processing: This study examines the impact of light cannabis use on adolescents' brain activity, cognition, and mental health over time. Results show no preexisting differences in brain activity but suggest a link between conduct problems and future cannabis use. While cannabis use doesn't seem to impair cognition, it may worsen hyperactivity and inattention symptoms. These findings underscore the role of conduct problems in predicting cannabis use and highlight the need for early intervention strategies.
