Mark my words, next time I’m hiring an event planner. In the last two events, I’ve earned respect for the creatives who bring these experiences to life.
With my 420 event, I want to not only create experiences and spaces where cannabis consumption is more normalized, but I want to deliver a experiential-luxe feeling that makes each and every guest feel special.

- Perception and Utilization of Cannabinoids in Patients Undergoing Radiation Treatment: Our Patients Are Curious:
This survey study examines cannabinoid usage patterns among cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment. Out of 431 respondents, 25.8% reported using cannabinoids since their cancer diagnosis, with the majority experiencing symptom improvement. Notably, 38.7% found better relief from treatment symptoms with cannabinoids compared to prescription medications, and 16.2% reduced their use of prescription pain medications after cannabinoid use.- Small but mighty stats! The main challenge I see is that majority of MDs are not trained about medical cannabis, so often times you hear about patients finding cannabis as a relief on their own. Will the medical cannabis world ever formally intersect with traditional medical world?
- Assessment of Cannabis Use Before Partnered Sex on Women Who Experience Orgasm Difficulty: This study examines how cannabis use before sex affects women experiencing orgasm difficulty, a condition affecting up to 41% of women. It's the first to specifically investigate cannabis's impact on this issue. Among 387 participants, mostly reporting orgasm difficulty, cannabis use before sex correlated with increased orgasm frequency, satisfaction, and ease for those with difficulty.
- This might be TMI but I also use cannabis for sex! I’ll be deep diving more on this topic in upcoming months — I think it’s a very interesting tool for women, especially those who may have sex anxiety or sexual trauma. I have a whole story about this…
- Germany Approves Cannabis Reform Plan: Possession Legal April 1: Adults can possess up to 25 grams of marijuana and grow three plants at home. Non-commercial cannabis clubs with up to 500 members will be allowed from July 1. The plan excludes for-profit recreational marijuana sales. The move is expected to boost the medical cannabis industry significantly.
- My prediction is that the “medical” use case will bleed into recreational like we see in Thailand. I’m curious to see how they evaluate an individual for medical cannabis. Perhaps a trip to Germany this summer…
- New Study on Metals in Weed Vapes Presented by Researchers: Researchers presented findings at the American Chemical Society meeting revealing metal nanoparticles in both legal and illegal cannabis vape liquids, with some illegal samples showing lead levels up to 100 times higher than legal limits. This study, funded by Health Canada and conducted by the National Research Council of Canada, raises concerns about potential health risks from inhaling metals during vaping.
- I’ve talked about my experience with vapes before and I believe it’s correlated to this study. In 2022, I was using live rosin 510 carts that were supposed to be the highest quality in the industry. Unfortunately, I developed throat pain and a cough that I’ve never experienced before. Since then, I have never touched a cart. My hypothesis is that it was due to leakage of metals into the oil, but also I wondered if they added any filler to the live rosin. This is not to fear-monger, but I personally won’t touch carts and just stick to e-rigs and dried herb devices.
