Happy Friday!
Out of curiosity… do you consider yourself as “cali sober”?
Cali sober is someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, but partakes in cannabis (and some people consider psychedelics in this definition as well) 🌿
I’ve been having a bit of FOMO lately because it feels like everyone in the city is drinking and partying. Unfortunately, there aren’t many cannabis-friendly establishments in Toronto (except for the park and at home). This is because it’s not allowed by the Ontario government (yet… fingers crossed 🤞🏻)
Even though I’m 100% happy with being cali sober, it sometimes gets lonely, especially when most of my friends aren’t keen on cannabis, and I would consider them more to be drinkers.
Nonetheless, I always try to introduce them to new cannabis products in hopes to get them to join the green side 😂
I think about my time in LA and Thailand and how there were SO MANY places to enjoy cannabis. Whether it was a restaurant, infused “bar”, or simply a lounge to enjoy a joint, I wish Canada had these.
Some of these canna-friendly establishments even had people working on their laptops! It reminded me of going to a regular coffee shop and spending the day there to work.
Imagine enjoying a cannabis-infused latte while working away on your laptop… now THAT’s a vibe I want ☕️ 🍃
A lil throwback to my LA trip where I visited The Woods in West Hollywood!Enjoying sungrown California flower with a cannabis-infused pear guava juice in a cozy outdoor garden oasis 🥹

Hopefully in the next 1-2 years, we’ll see cannabis lounges pop up in Canada. Licensed consumption spaces are starting to open up in British Columbia, so I suspect that it’s only a matter of time before the rest of Canada starts to slowly adopt them.
It’s a HUGE missed opportunity that Canada isn’t building up their canna-tourism industry. Just like how Niagara in Ontario is known for it’s wineries, why can’t Canada also be known for their cannabis farms? 😮💨
