Solar Eclipse, Limited 4/20 Tickets, and Massachusetts Making Canna-Pardons
Hello Canna Fam!
Happy second week of April AKA we’re officially one week out from my April 20th event and I’m officially entering that excitement/anxious stage. For those of you who have purchased your tickets already, thank you! I appreciate your support.
When I first decided to throw an event for 300+ people, I was terrified about ticket sales… but here we are with 90% of tickets sold. You continue to show me how strong and special this community is. On that note, we have very limited tickets left, if you’re planning on joining us I’d recommend getting your ticket today. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO TICKET SALES AT THE DOOR.
Caught A Glimpse of The Solar Eclipse 🌙
I was invited to watch the eclipse at the CN tower high in the sky, and best believe I elevated myself for this experience (took a lil gummy). Check out some of the memories I caught on camera… NGL, it was too cloudy to actually see the eclipse but it was cool to see the sky go dark!

Cannabis In The News
- Study: Opioid Maintenance Patients Frequently Report Using Cannabis In Place Of Other Drugs: A survey in Mannheim, Germany found that nearly 60% of individuals undergoing opioid maintenance treatment (OMT) used cannabis to alleviate cravings for drugs like heroin and cocaine, despite it being against program rules. Almost half of cannabis users reported using it specifically to reduce cravings for heroin, with additional use as a substitute for alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other controlled substances. The study suggests that cannabis could be considered for harm reduction in OMT, supported by findings indicating lower non-fatal opioid overdoses and increased treatment retention rates among cannabis-using individuals.
- Cannabidiol alleviates neurological deficits after traumatic brain injury by improving intracranial lymphatic drainage: A study utilizing a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) mouse model found that cannabidiol (CBD) improved motor, memory, and cognitive functions, reduced neural protein levels, and enhanced lymphatic waste clearance, potentially through modulating aquaporin-4 polarization and mitigating neuroinflammation. Importantly, CBD's positive effects on waste removal and cognitive function were dependent on intact lymphatic channels, highlighting its therapeutic potential in TBI management.
- Massachusetts becomes first state to blanket pardon low-level marijuana charges: Massachusetts becomes the first state to pardon individuals with past convictions for simple marijuana possession, following unanimous approval from Governor's Council, but concerns arise about the pardoned offences remaining on records. The pardon, effective immediately, impacts around 70,000 to 100,000 individuals, though it only applies to simple possession charges and not to other related offences like distribution or trafficking, prompting discussions about the possibility of expungement for these convictions.
