Day 24 Tolerance Break Update + My First Grow Facility Experience + more!
Good Morning Canna Fam! šæ
Iām officially halfway through my tolerance break! Itās been an interesting journey, but Iām so glad I did it, and tbh, I canāt wait ātill its over! Iāve learned alot about myself during this break, but also itās reminded me of why I use the plant as a tool to improve my life.
I was expecting withdrawal symptoms since most people on the internet talk about that. I was worried mostly about being able to fall asleep - but to my surprise, itās been ok! However, I have noticed that my appetite has declinedā¦ but I canāt fully blame the tea break. Iāve also been a bit more stressed than usual, and when Iām in this āwork modeā, I often donāt have an appetite because Iām just focused on getting work done (something Iāve been working on).
Here are some tips for falling asleepĀ withoutĀ the plant:
- Drinking chamomile or mint tea. I use this to ease into my night routine as a way to tell my brain āok itās time to go to bed soon.ā
- To relax my muscles I take magnesium. This gets me into a sleepy, chilled state.
- AVOID BLUE LIGHT. A few hours before I go to bed I try and stay off my phone, i.e. social media.
- I occasionally listen to meditative podcasts to fall asleep. My favourite is āGuided Meditationā by Sam Harris.
- If I have a stressful day and my thoughts are running wild, I may need some extra help so I use my passion flower herbal tincture.
Thankfully, I picked a good month to have a break so Iāll be back in time to sesh with yaāll during my 420 event. Tickets are going on sale next week by the way! Donāt forget to sign up to my waitlist to get first dibs on ticket purchases.
Cannabinista takes on Kronic Relief Headquarters
I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting a licensed processor for the first time! Iāve only ever been to an outdoor grow so this experience was completely new to me. Thank you so much to the Kronic Relief team for allowing me to come by and learn more about the craft. I learned everything from the growth stages to drying and packaging. So Iāve decided I will be writing a blog this week on everything I learned about growing. Stay tuned for that blog next week! Side note, it was so difficult to be in a dank facility during my t-breakā¦ but I held strong LOL
Honestly the PPE fit aināt that badā¦
Peppery and gassy notesā¦ my fave :)
Cannabis In The News
- Study: Cannabis Consumers Just as Likely to Exercise as Non-Consumers: A recent study published in Preventive Medicine Reports challenges stereotypes by revealing that cannabis consumers are just as likely to engage in exercise as non-users. Conducted by researchers from the University of Texas and Ohio University, the study surveyed 2,591 U.S. adults, finding that marijuana and e-cigarette use predicted participants' engagement in activities such as walking. These findings suggest that cannabis users may not be less active than non-users, urging further research into the mechanisms behind these trends. Iāve been saying this for the longest time and Iām so happy thereās some data to back this up now! I truly pride myself in being a stoner that loves to also stay healthy and active.
- Study: CBD Well Tolerated by Dogs: A study in Frontiers in Veterinary Science suggests that CBD is well tolerated by healthy dogs at specific doses, offering insights for pet owners and veterinarians. Administered over 90 days to 32 beagles, the study found that a dose of 5 milligrams per kilogram of body weight was safe. Supported by post-market surveillance data, these findings encourage further exploration of CBD's potential benefits in veterinary medicine. Itās awesome seeing a newer study for CBD and dogs as I hadnāt seen much new insights come out in this category. Did you know that I have a CBD dog treat recipe? My furry friend Winston loves it!
