Let's make this holiday season extra cozy and uplifting, one sip at a time.

What is Eggnog?

Eggnog, a beloved holiday classic, is more than just a creamy concoction; it's a sip of tradition and comfort. At its core, eggnog is a luscious beverage crafted from a blend of milk, cream, sugar, and beaten eggs. Its origins trace back to medieval Britain, where a hot, ale-based concoction called "posset" was spiked with eggs and eventually evolved into the creamy libation we know today.

Make Your Own Eggnog At Home

Making eggnog at home involves:

  • Whisking together egg yolks and sugar until they achieve a pale, velvety consistency.
  • To this mixture, warm milk is added slowly, creating a base enriched with heavy cream.
  • The final touch is a sprinkle of nutmeg, adding a warm and festive aroma.

This process not only yields a decadent drink but also carries a sense of nostalgia, evoking memories of cozy gatherings and cherished moments around the hearth. So, as you embark on the journey of making your eggnog, remember that each frothy sip is a sip into history, tradition, and the heartwarming embrace of the holiday season.

FAQ

Q: Can I use a non-dairy alternative for the eggnog in this recipe?

A: Yes, you can substitute dairy eggnog with a non-dairy alternative such as almond milk nog, oat milk nog, or coconut milk nog. Just ensure the alternative has a similar consistency and flavor for the best results.

Q: What if I don't have cannabis oil?

A: If you don't have cannabis oil, you can omit it for a non-cannabis version of the latte. The drink will still be delicious with the espresso and eggnog, and you can add extra sweetener or spices to enhance the flavor if desired.

Step 1: Calculate Potency For Your Infusion

Calculate total batch potency by entering product weight (grams), THC/THCA percentage, and CBD/CBDA percentage. Get total THC and CBD in milligrams (mg) for dosing.

(flower, wax, oil, etc)

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive compound in cannabis, while THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is its non-psychoactive precursor found in raw cannabis

CBD (cannabidiol) is a psychoactive compound in cannabis known for its potential therapeutic benefits, while CBDA (cannabidiolic acid) is the precursor to CBD found in raw cannabis, which needs to be decarboxylated (heated) to become CBD with active properties.

(ie. butter, olive oil, coconut oil, MCT oil, alcohol)
