Ingredient Substitutions

  • Maple syrup: Feel free to use another sweetener instead of maple syrup. Honey, simple syrup, or any other liquid sweetener will work with this recipe. I do recommend sticking with maple syrup because it provides that robust maple taste that pairs well with the taste of non-alcoholic bourbon and orange bitters. FAQ

Q: What is a Cocktail Without Alcohol Called?

A: A cocktail without alcohol is commonly referred to as a "mocktail." A mocktail is a beverage that mimics the appearance and flavour complexity of traditional cocktails but is alcohol-free. These refreshing and creative concoctions often incorporate a variety of juices, soda, herbs, and fruit garnishes to deliver a delightful and satisfying drinking experience without the effects of alcohol. Mocktails are an excellent option for those seeking a flavorful and festive alternative at social gatherings or for individuals who choose to abstain from alcohol.

Q: Can I use regular alcohol in this and mix the two substances?

A: I would not recommend mixing cannabis and alcohol. When combined, they are known to augment the effects of both and can increase the feeling of intoxication greatly. I'd recommend sticking to one or the other!

Step 1: Calculate Potency For Your Infusion

Calculate total batch potency by entering product weight (grams), THC/THCA percentage, and CBD/CBDA percentage. Get total THC and CBD in milligrams (mg) for dosing.

(flower, wax, oil, etc)

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive compound in cannabis, while THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is its non-psychoactive precursor found in raw cannabis

CBD (cannabidiol) is a psychoactive compound in cannabis known for its potential therapeutic benefits, while CBDA (cannabidiolic acid) is the precursor to CBD found in raw cannabis, which needs to be decarboxylated (heated) to become CBD with active properties.

(ie. butter, olive oil, coconut oil, MCT oil, alcohol)
